Welcome to Sri Lanka Events (the “Platform”), a service dedicated to promoting professional events in Sri Lanka. By using our website, you agree to be bound by the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Event Eligibility & Submission
We accept events related to marketing, technology, business, networking, education, and entrepreneurship.
We do not accept events that are entertainment-based, such as music shows, parties, dramas, or similar activities.
You must be authorized to promote the event and ensure that all information provided is accurate and lawful. All event submissions are subject to review and approval by our team. We reserve the right to reject or remove any event that doesn’t align with these terms or our platform’s objectives.
2. Fees & Commissions
- Free Events: There is no charge for promoting free events.
- Paid Events: A 3% commission fee is applied to the listed promotional price of each ticket sold. This fee is deducted before payouts to the organizer. Organizers are responsible for any applicable taxes, service charges, or additional transaction fees.
3. Organizer Responsibilities
As an organizer, you must:
- Ensure all event details are accurate, up-to-date, and not misleading.
- Obtain all necessary permissions, licenses, and approvals required to host the event.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka Events is not responsible for disputes, cancellations, or other issues that arise between event organizers and attendees.
4. Data Privacy
We respect your privacy. Personal data collected on the platform will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law. Please note that information submitted for event listings will be publicly displayed.
5. Limitation of Liability
The Platform serves as a promotional and listing service only. We are not responsible for the management, execution, or quality of events. We are not liable for:
- Event cancellations, postponements, or changes.
- Any loss, damage, or injury related to events listed on our platform.
- Technical interruptions, website downtime, or errors in listings.
6. Intellectual Property
Organizers retain the rights to their event content but grant Sri Lanka Events a non-exclusive license to use event names, logos, and descriptions for promotional purposes. You may not copy or misuse any content from the Platform without permission.
7. Changes to Terms
We may update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the platform signifies your acceptance of the updated terms.
8. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Sri Lankan courts.
